Job Summary

Plan and host 2-3 monthly events, workshops, and resourcing activities to promote social engagement, wellness, and stability for residents. Connect with individuals to meet specific needs, share information on rental and food assistance, and partner with community businesses for holistic support. Update resident resource lists monthly and report activity and impact to the supervisor. Work 8 hours weekly (one 8-hour day or two 4-hour days) Monday through Friday before 5:30 pm, with availability for evening and weekend commitments. This part-time role serves the Fort Worth community near Bentley Village-Waterchase, requiring a current driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as carrying up to 25 pounds.

Required Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Be legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Bachelor's Degree or related experience in event planning, social impact, or human services
  • Excellent listening/communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to provide after-hours or weekend activities as needed
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic fluency in English to compose marketing elements for the community and required reports
  • Possess a current driver's license and liability insurance, and access to a form of reliable transportation to complete coordinator duties such as shopping for events and connecting with vendors
  • Be physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Have the availability to commit weekly hours to perform job responsibilities, mainly in the evenings and weekends when most residents are home
  • Be able to make the minimum term commitment to serving in the apartment community

Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred, but not required
  • Experience serving at-risk populations preferred
  • Previous event planning experience
  • Experience working within a budget
  • Some relevant experience using social media
  • Have a network of support through potential volunteers, vendors, or community partners
