Job Summary
Organize, supervise, and execute public and private events, including cooking classes, wine tastings, and receptions for groups up to 500 people. Manage correspondence for the La Scuola department, handle event requests and registrations, and facilitate communication between clients and chefs. Co-manage front-of-house and back-of-house teams while hiring, developing, and managing Education & Events Associates. Draft class descriptions, compile instructor biographies, and create online registration pages. Ensure each event runs smoothly from front-of-house supervision to behind-the-scenes organization and data entry. Participate in organizing storewide events, promotions, and partner events. Requires a Bachelor's degree, event planning certification, and 2+ years in hospitality; availability for nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or other related field
- Additional certification in event planning, marketing, or conference planning
- 2+ years' experience in the hospitality, restaurant, or events industry
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Ability to stand and be mobile for periods up to 8 hours in a high-volume
