Job Summary
Lead the operational planning and delivery for Olympic and Paralympic Games venues, driving cross-functional integration and managing day-to-day venue leadership at Games Time. Collaborate with venue partners, local authorities, and technical teams to develop Event Operations plans, manage service levels, and resolve operational risks. Hire, train, and motivate a diverse venue team while coordinating the Venue Use Agreement and ensuring compliance with contractual terms. Prepare written and oral reports on planning status and issue resolution to senior leaders, championing LA28 values across all engagement and delivery phases.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8+ years of experience working in relevant roles in the sports and/or event management industry, working on major Games delivery, or major event properties, or event production companies
- Proven track record of leading the planning and delivery of large-scale, complex event operations across multiple project phases including planning, readiness, and operation
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
- Ability to travel occasionally to different venues across the Los Angeles region and possibly outside the Greater Los Angeles region
- The position is in Los Angeles with in-person attendance required
- Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods
