Event Technician - MPAC

Job Summary
Support the Performing Arts Center Authority at the Rose & Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center by executing technical, production, and service duties for all events. Cross train in stage production and event setup while assisting with facility maintenance, promotional elements, and catering logistics. Maintain clean and safe areas using a clean-as-you-go policy, communicate concerns regarding equipment safety, and coordinate with supervisors for event details. Perform assigned non-stage tasks including janitorial services, parking, and front-of-house assistance. Accurately sign in and out for each shift while developing positive relationships with staff. Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, with potential travel to alternate venues.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to maintain a physical presence at designated work location, maintain regular attendance and punctuality and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally
- Ability to travel to alternate venues, including Broward Center for the Performing Arts, The Parker, Rose & Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center and Aventura Arts & Cultural Center
- Able to demonstrate sound judgment, integrity, and ethical behavior in all daily activities
- Able to effectively and efficiently multitask, set priorities, shift priorities, and adapt to changes in situations
- Able to follow direction from management and to accept constructive feedback
- Able to exhibit appropriate, professional, and corporate demeanor, considerable tact, and courtesy when interacting with internal and external patrons in a variety of situations
- Ability to crouch, lift up to 50lbs, twist, bend, stoop, climb stairs and ladder, stand and sit for extended periods of time, reach above, below at neck level, work at heights above the floor
- Able to work effectively and positively with others
- High School, High School Equivalent, or Higher
