Job Summary
Set up, operate, and breakdown basic audiovisual equipment to ensure flawlessly executed events while meeting guest needs on site. Troubleshoot equipment and software issues, monitor events throughout the day, and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients. Complete systems entry, paperwork, and order entries in Navigator, utilizing floor up-selling techniques to increase revenue and finalize invoices. This part-time role at Marriott Lexington Griffin Gate Golf Resort & Spa requires irregular hours, on-call status including weekends and holidays, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must meet/validate and achieve/complete all training and certifications required for this position, within 60 days of start date
- Must meet Additional DOT requirements if applicable
- Must be able to meet the physical demands outlined in the Physical Requirements section
- Must be able to meet the Lifting Requirements section
- Must be able to meet the Carrying Requirements section
- Must be able to meet the Auditory/Visual Requirements section
- Must be able to meet the Pushing/Pulling Requirements section
- Must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based on an individual hotel or a representation of hotels in that city or area
- Must be available for irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience
- 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment
