Job Summary
Event Technician responsible for the setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment in a hospitality setting (Des Moines Marriott Downtown). Role emphasizes customer service, on-site guest interactions, accurate equipment handling, and coordination with clients and hotel staff. Requires basic AV knowledge, ability to troubleshoot equipment and software issues, adherence to procedures, lifting up to 50 lbs, and availability for irregular hours in a hotel/convention-center environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required. Associate’s degree preferred.
- External applicants must meet/validate and achieve/complete all training and certifications required for this position within 60 days of start date.
- 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
- 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is required for team members that may operate Company vehicles.
