Job Summary
Event Technician responsible for setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment in a hotel/convention environment, ensuring guest satisfaction. Duties include on-site client interaction, maintaining client relationships, troubleshooting equipment and software, accurate systems entry and paperwork (Navigator/ invoices), and delivering world-class service. Requires high school diploma (associate degree preferred), training/certifications within 60 days for external applicants, and the ability to meet physical demands (lifting 50 lbs). Prior customer service/hospitality experience and audiovisual experience are preferred, with a valid driver’s license and potential DOT requirements. Flexible work including irregular hours and on-call status in hotel settings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Associate’s degree preferred
- External applicants must meet/validate and achieve/complete all training and certifications within 60 days of start date
- Internal applicants must meet/complete all training and certification requirements as determined by Encore’s Global Learning Training Program
- 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred
- 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment is preferred
- A valid driver’s license is required for team members that may operate Company vehicles
- Additional DOT requirements may need to be met if applicable
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
