Job Summary
The Event Support Volunteer collaborates with Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota staff to assist in community and private events aimed at raising awareness for GESMN’s mission. Responsibilities include supporting event logistics, providing exceptional service to guests, and engaging participants. Volunteers will manage event setup and cleanup, assist with registration and information dissemination, help with parking, distribute food, and host activities. Strong communication skills are essential, alongside a familiarity with engaging a diverse audience, including justice-impacted individuals. Volunteers must complete required orientations and training before commencing their role.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Welcome orientation required either in-person or virtual before first shift
- Training required in-person and virtual before each shift
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with age-appropriate engagement with children, adolescents, and families
- Strong communication skills
- Understanding of creating welcoming experiences for people of varying backgrounds
