Job Summary
Set up and tear down event spaces by moving, stacking, and arranging tables and chairs; open and close hanging walls; and roll up room curtains as directed by staff. Recruit, train, and lead volunteers while demonstrating Christ-like living and providing spiritual modeling through attentive prayer and care for the team. Work independently or as part of a team, adhering to punctual attendance and consistent time management. Early morning and late evening shifts may be scheduled.
Required Qualifications
- Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the demonstration of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
- Wholeheartedly agrees with the Crossroads Community Church purpose, values, priorities, mission, bylaws, and lives a lifestyle appropriate to a person in Christian ministry.
- Willing to be a part of Crossroads Community Church and to regularly and consistently attend a weekend worship service.
- Demonstrates skills in relating to and working with people, especially volunteers, church staff, the congregation and others, within a team environment.
- Manages personal and family life in such a way they model the teachings of God's Word.
- Agrees to abide by the staff handbook and sign the Crossroads Statement of Faith.
- Must pass the pre-employment background screening.
- Must attend the Joining Crossroads class.
- Able to lift, stack and move chairs.
- Able to lift, fold, place, and rack folding tables.
- Able to open and close movable handing walls.
- Able to roll up and lower down room curtains.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and stand for long stretches of time
- Above average team building skills.
- Able to recruit, train and lead volunteers.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Punctual and consistent attendance for work assignments.
Desired Qualifications
- At least 1 year of volunteer or staff ministry experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
