Job Summary
Event Strategy Associate on the Commercial Banking event strategy team supports the strategy, planning, and execution of national proprietary events and third party sponsorships. Responsibilities include managing multiple projects with a focus on data analysis, event coordination, and content development, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver impactful experiences for clients and partners. Activities include logistics, attendee management, on-site execution, crafting differentiated agendas and content, speaker preparation, invitations and collateral, data collection/validation, budgeting/approvals/payments, RSVP and engagement analysis, annual planning, scorecards, and cross-team ad hoc projects; preferred familiarity with Workfront/Stova and a background in banking/financial services.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in event management, marketing, or communications
- Requires travel (~15-20% of time) and off-hours event execution
- Go-getter attitude, ready to contribute to a variety of projects, events and sponsorships
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Exceptional executive presence and professionalism when interacting with senior leaders and clients; able to build trust and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong sense of time management, prioritization and ability to execute against deliverables with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working in a matrix management organization structure
- Ability to build reporting, analyze data and streamline information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Familiarity with Workfront and/or Stova is a plus
- Banking, financial services preferred
