Job Summary
Conduct daily set-ups for 33 conference rooms and the Statehouse, arranging furniture, sound mixers, monitors, and live streaming equipment as requested. Troubleshoot audio and visual failures, perform repairs, and clean spaces by vacuuming, dusting, and removing catering debris. Review reservation forms, organize timelines, and lead a team of interns while managing inventory and tracking supplies. Reset event spaces efficiently during the Legislative Session, adapting to schedule changes with minimal notice. Work weekends and evenings as a sole point of contact, maintaining presentable environments and ensuring all doors, lights, and blinds are properly configured.
Required Qualifications
- Practical knowledge of all audio, video and sound equipment
- Knowledge of commercial grade cleaning equipment used for Statehouse & Conference Center events and upkeep
- Ability to complete manual tasks which involve constant standing, walking, lifting, bending, twisting, and stooping
- Ability to follow specific instructions, orally and in writing, and work independently with minimal supervision
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Knowledge of the equipment and furniture used in the conference center and Statehouse for the purpose of setting up, breaking down and changing over for events
- Ability to understand and interpret the reservation forms used for the Conference Center and the Statehouse events
- Ability to trouble shoot equipment failures at a moments notice
- Understanding of sound equipment, mixers, microphone, speakers and cabling
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with co-workers, other state agencies, and the public
- Ability to work weekends, with minimal notice, schedule is event based
- Ability to prioritize and organize the schedule and equipment for each day
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes
