Job Summary
Effectively attain assigned meeting planner satisfaction scores, revenue goals, and food and beverage minimums by proactively conducting solicitation calls, tours, and client entertainment. Monitor market segment trends, deliver banquet event orders within 10 days, and ensure timely communication of changes to impacted departments. Approach all guest and employee encounters with an attentive, service-oriented manner while adhering to Aimbridge Hospitality's established catering and meeting standards. Maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations and participate in special promotions relating to direct sales segments. Work full-time with overtime applicable, reporting to the Director of Sales or Director of Catering/Convention Services.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state
- Developed verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in general computer knowledge especially Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
- Strong organization and presentation skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous convention/event and catering sales experience
- Creativity and knowledge of food and beverage/events
- Experience with professional selling skills: opening probing supporting closing
