Job Summary
Set up suites, clubs, and buffets, carry equipment, and serve guests at Wake Forest University events ranging from athletics to special occasions. Respond quickly to guest needs, maintain proper dining experiences, and clear food and beverage quietly using professional techniques. Perform basic cleaning tasks, run food to events as needed, and set buffet stations including décor. Work on-the-job training is provided at this scenic venue.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles
- Live within 25 miles of Wake Forest campus
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client's needs
- The ability to work alone and as a team
- The ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook
- Uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines
- Prolonged periods of being in one place, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue
- Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting up-to 30+ pounds
