Job Summary
Maintain continuous 24-hour security coverage for the interior and exterior of Toyota-Arena, Stage Red Theater, ONT-Field, and Ontario Convention Centers, ensuring a safe environment during daily operations and high-capacity events. Conduct regular patrols to identify safety concerns, respond promptly to security calls, and perform bag checks, wand operations, and metal detector monitoring for all guests. Provide guest services by greeting patrons, managing crowd flow, and controlling ingress/egress while assisting staff, vendors, and VIPs. Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports, adhering to departmental standards for conduct and ethical expectations. Complete assigned tasks within established guidelines and deadlines set by the Security Manager.
Required Qualifications
- California Issued Guard Card
- Minimum education of high school diploma or its equivalency
- Ability to acquire a California Guard Card at your own expense
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Understand the rule of law and relevant penal codes
- Ability to represent the Security Dept. in an exemplary manner
- Ability to maintain good business relations with all the employees & managers in all depts.
- Ability to effectively perform in crises and work under pressure without loss of composure
- Ability to maintain patron, employee and company confidentiality
- Ability to stand on hard surfaces and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to climb up and down stairs throughout the shift
- Must maintain availability for a minimum of four (4) event shifts per week, including Monday-Fridays no later then 5pm start times and full-day availability on Saturdays and Sundays and Holidays
- Employees may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules and business needs. This is an event-related position, and work schedules are not guaranteed and will vary based on venue operations must be flexible.
