Event Security Captain (Part-Time)

Job Summary
Supervise security officers and deploy staff for events, assigning shifts, breaks, and equipment while providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship. Uphold the Security Department's Prime Directives, enforce venue Event Policies, and monitor interactions with guests, clients, artists, and athletes to ensure safety and service standards. Resolve escalated security situations, handle ejections or arrests, and serve as the primary escalation point for guest complaints. Document all incidents accurately, provide performance feedback to staff, and administer reviews or disciplinary actions as needed. Apply logical thinking to complex problems and direct varied tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience in high-volume sports or entertainment venues is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in security operations, preferably in a supervisory or leadership capacity
- Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to solve complex practical problems
- Proficiency in documenting incidents and administering performance-related paperwork
- Ability to perform a variety of duties, changing tasks frequently without loss of efficiency or composure
- Strong leadership and motivational skills with the ability to lead by example
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff, management, and high-profile guests/clients
- Tact and diplomacy when resolving escalated security or guest service issues
- Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule
