Job Summary
Control movement of staff, visitors, property, and vehicles into and through permitted areas of the client site. Assist visitors with legitimate entry needs by screening them efficiently while maintaining a courteous, respectful, and professional image for the client and Andy Frain. Provide operational assistance before, during, and after events by monitoring assigned areas for safety, cleanliness, and functionality, and reporting issues as required. Respond to accidents, emergencies, or incidents in accordance with established procedures, and report suspicious activity to security personnel, client representatives, or public safety authorities while preparing logs or reports. Complete other similar tasks as required by circumstance or post order. This role is event-based as needed at venues like Brookshire Grocery Arena and Shreveport Municipal Auditorium, with an hourly rate of $14.00 to $16.00.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a citizen of the United States or lawful permanent resident
- Have a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma
- Possess a reliable means of communication (i.e. phone)
- Possess a reliable means of transportation (public or private)
- Pass a criminal background check, in accordance with State/Federal law and guidelines
- Possess a valid driver's license, as required for duty
- Pass an employment and personal history check, in accordance with State/Federal law and guidelines
- Possess basic aptitudes and physical abilities including; color perception, visual acuity, physical coordination, motor skills, meeting lifting requirements (pass the Fit for Duty)
- Must meet and continue to meet Andy Frain employment standards
- Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly
- Knowledge of or ability to learn safe work practices
- Knowledge of or ability to learn emergency policies and procedures
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to be an effective team member
- Ability to maintain professionalism in unusual or difficult circumstances
- Ability to quickly assess and handle difficult and hostile situations
- Ability to adapt to change in procedures, locations and the organization
- Must possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Must be able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
- Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to climb stairs, walk up inclines or on uneven terrain
- Ability to reach with hands or arms, twist, turn, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Possess close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Requirement to work overtime without advanced notice
- Requirement to wear or use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Requirement to handle multiple tasks at the same time
- Exposure to stressful, difficult or hostile situations
- Exposure to inclement weather
- Exposure to stressful and physical activity including frequent sitting, standing and walking for long periods, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing stairs or lifting 10 to 50 pounds
