Job Summary
Control movement of staff, visitors, property, and vehicles into and through permitted areas of the client site by providing directions, placing barriers, and executing admittance procedures. Assist visitors with legitimate entry needs while screening clients and employees efficiently. Monitor assigned areas for safety, cleanliness, and functionality before, during, and after events, reporting issues as required. Respond to accidents, emergencies, or incidents per established procedures, assisting others and providing direction. Report suspicious activity to security, client representatives, or authorities, preparing logs or reports as necessary. Maintain a professional image by greeting people politely and ensuring courteous interactions with all patrons. Adapt to changing procedures and locations while handling multiple tasks and potential hostile situations. Work overtime without advanced notice and wear required PPE.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a citizen of the United States or lawful permanent resident
- Have a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma
- Possess a reliable means of communication (i.e. phone)
- Possess a reliable means of transportation (public or private)
- Pass a criminal background check, in accordance with State/Federal law and guidelines
- Possess a valid driver's license, as required for duty
- Pass an employment and personal history check, in accordance with State/Federal law and guidelines
- Possess basic aptitudes and physical abilities including; color perception, visual acuity, physical coordination, motor skills, meeting lifting requirements (pass the Fit for Duty)
- Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly
- Must possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Must be able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
- Ability to climb stairs, walk up inclines or on uneven terrain
- Ability to reach with hands or arms, twist, turn, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Possess close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Requirement to work overtime without advanced notice
- Requirement to wear or use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Requirement to handle multiple tasks at the same time
- Exposure to stressful and physical activity including frequent sitting, standing and walking for long periods, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing stairs or lifting 10 to 50 pounds
