Job Summary
Control movement of staff, visitors, property, and vehicles into and through permitted areas of the client site. Screen visitors and client employees efficiently to expedite admittance while maintaining a professional image. Provide operational assistance before, during, and after events by monitoring assigned areas for safety, cleanliness, and functionality. Respond to accidents, emergencies, or incidents in accordance with established procedures and report suspicious activity to security personnel or public safety authorities. Complete other similar tasks as required by circumstance or post order. This event-based role supports clients at venues such as Brookshire Grocery Arena and Shreveport Municipal Auditorium, requiring the ability to handle stressful situations and work overtime without advanced notice.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a citizen of the United States or lawful permanent resident
- Have a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma
- Possess a reliable means of communication (i.e. phone)
- Possess a reliable means of transportation (public or private)
- Pass a criminal background check, in accordance with State/Federal law and guidelines
- Possess a valid driver's license, as required for duty
- Pass an employment and personal history check, in accordance with State/Federal law and guidelines
- Possess basic aptitudes and physical abilities including; color perception, visual acuity, physical coordination, motor skills, meeting lifting requirements (pass the Fit for Duty)
- Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly
- Must possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Must be able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
- Ability to climb stairs, walk up inclines or on uneven terrain
- Ability to reach with hands or arms, twist, turn, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Possess close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Requirement to work overtime without advanced notice
- Requirement to wear or use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Requirement to handle multiple tasks at the same time
- Exposure to stressful and physical activity including frequent sitting, standing and walking for long periods, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing stairs or lifting 10 to 50 pounds
