Job Summary
Control movement of staff, visitors, property, and vehicles into and through permitted areas of client sites like Brookshire Grocery Arena and Shreveport Municipal Auditorium. Screen visitors and client employees efficiently to expedite admittance while providing courteous, respectful interactions that maintain a professional image. Monitor assigned areas for safety, cleanliness, and functionality before, during, and after events, responding to accidents, emergencies, or incidents in accordance with established procedures. Report suspicious activity or incidents to security personnel, management, or public safety authorities as required and prepare logs. Adapt to change in procedures and locations while maintaining professionalism in stressful or difficult situations. This event-based role requires working overtime without advanced notice and may involve exposure to inclement weather and inclement conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a citizen of the United States or lawful permanent resident
- Have a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma
- Possess a reliable means of communication (i.e. phone)
- Possess a reliable means of transportation (public or private)
- Pass a criminal background check, in accordance with State/Federal law and guidelines
- Possess a valid driver's license, as required for duty
- Pass an employment and personal history check, in accordance with State/Federal law and guidelines
- Possess basic aptitudes and physical abilities including; color perception, visual acuity, physical coordination, motor skills, meeting lifting requirements (pass the Fit for Duty)
- Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly
- Must possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Must be able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
- Ability to climb stairs, walk up inclines or on uneven terrain
- Ability to reach with hands or arms, twist, turn, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Possess close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Requirement to work overtime without advanced notice
- Requirement to wear or use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Requirement to handle multiple tasks at the same time
- Exposure to stressful and physical activity including frequent sitting, standing and walking for long periods, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing stairs or lifting 10 to 50 pounds
