Job Summary
Event Rigger responsible for performing rigging activities in a hotel/convention-center environment, aligning with safety and Encore/property guidelines. Responsibilities include organizing rigging tools, establishing hang-points, connecting hoists to truss and attachments, running and dressing motor cables, ensuring safe operations, maintaining all safety practices, securing lift certifications as necessary, reviewing advanced rigging plans with the Rigging Coordinator, coordinating with other trades to execute show plots, and providing ongoing inspection of hardware (truss, motors, lighting, sound, projection) with escalation of issues. Requires on-site rigging experience, basic rigging certification, lift certifications, and the ability to work in a hospitality/event setting with irregular hours. Proficiency in problem-solving, teamwork, and a strong emphasis on safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 500+ hours of onsite rigging experience
- Qualified-Basic Rigging certification
- Lift Certification
- Lift operation experience
- Ground Rigging experience
- High rigging with harness experience
- Previous experience supervising a rigging team preferred
