Job Summary
Plan and execute end-to-end delivery of The Drum's US-based awards, conferences, and client events, managing logistics, production, and on-site execution from planning through live delivery. Lead complex programs including speaker coordination, content schedules, and attendee journeys while overseeing budgets and timelines for financial success. Develop relationships with local venues and suppliers to uphold creative and operational standards, collaborating closely with the UK events team on global alignment and international activations. Support commercial goals by coordinating sponsor deliverables, ticket sales, and audience engagement initiatives while identifying new growth opportunities within the US market.
Required Qualifications
- 3–4+ years' experience in event organisation, with a strong focus on large-scale conferences, and additional experience delivering awards, and branded client events across in-person and digital formats
- A proven track record of delivering successful events that meet commercial and audience goals, with a strong commercial mindset
- Experience playing a hands-on role in event delivery, with exposure to budgets and on-site management
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, able to manage multiple complex projects under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Creative thinker who brings fresh ideas for event development, content, and audience engagement
- Thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment — adaptable, solutions-oriented, and able to respond quickly to new opportunities
- Confident working autonomously while staying connected to a global team headquartered in the UK
- Culturally aware and collaborative, able to work effectively with international colleagues and clients
- Strong relationship-building skills, with experience managing or supporting sponsor deliverables or branded activations
- Personable, approachable, and professional, with strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Resilient under pressure, with excellent problem-solving and prioritisation skills
- Committed to delivering outstanding customer service and memorable guest experiences
- Comfortable supporting junior colleagues when needed, in a collaborative, team-first environment
- Comfortable using project management and communication tools such as Asana, Slack, and Salesforce (training can be provided)
- Willingness to travel across the US and internationally as required
- Fluent in spoken and written English, with excellent grammar and attention to detail
