Job Summary
Event Planner intern will coordinate activities of staff and convention personnel to arrange corporate meetings and events. Responsibilities include planning, arranging, and organizing every aspect of events, potentially selecting venues, coordinating stage, decorations, lighting, sound and video systems, catering, signage, and other event needs; ensuring regulatory compliance and participant satisfaction; coordinating with staff, sponsors, and organizers to define objectives, budgets, and progress; reviewing event bills and approving payments; selecting providers based on client requirements; arranging AV, transportation, displays, and services; developing programs, agendas, and services aligned with client needs. Minimum 2 years relevant experience requested; Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred. This is a spring unpaid internship/volunteer position in the Chicago Loop area with on-the-job training and mentorship, offering exposure to multiple facets of the fashion and event management sectors.
