Event Planning Manager

Job Summary
Oversee end-to-end event logistics for average-to-large groups at a Marriott property, coordinating with Sales, property operations, and customers to ensure seamless turnover between pre-event, event, and post-event phases. Drive revenue opportunities through up-selling and enhancements, manage billing accuracy and group room blocks, lead event management teams, support the sales process with planning and forecasting, and uphold exceptional customer service throughout the event lifecycle. Partner with field sales and operations to resolve operational challenges, solicit feedback for continuous improvement, and ensure guest satisfaction from start to finish.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; 1–2 years of experience in event management or related professional area OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; at least 1 year experience in event management or related professional area required
