Job Summary
Coordinate internal and external events by working onsite, managing logistics, and supporting event coordinators. Develop relationships with on and off-campus customers while providing information and guidance for scheduling departmental events in Liberty University facilities. Execute front desk duties, make phone calls, send emails, and schedule events in 25Live. Maintain open and closing facility duties, enforce university policies, and assist with special projects as assigned. Complete work orders and make event managers aware of problems or situations. Remains abreast of all campus events and develops standard operational procedures for the University Events Office.
Required Qualifications
- Working toward a four-year degree in business or marketing or equivalent professional work experience
- High School degree or GED
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English
- Possess public communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment
- Ability to travel to local and campus locations
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Ability to hear and speak
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs
- Ability to handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop
- Ability to regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds
- Use of one's personal vehicle
- Proof of a valid Virginia driver's license
- Acceptable DMV record
- Liability insurance
