Job Summary
Coordinate meetings, conventions, and special events by providing leadership during planning and execution, serving as the primary on-site contact for group and catering clients. Organize daily responsibilities through effective timelines, establish and maintain accurate event records including Banquet Event Orders and room assignments within hotel systems, and conduct pre-conference meetings and planning calls with clients and departments. Resolve guest concerns, coordinate room setups, food and beverage requirements, and vendor services while ensuring compliance with brand standards and safety procedures. Monitor event billing, reconcile final charges, and support sales efforts to maximize revenue opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree/GED
- one (1) year Hospitality related experience
- Writing-Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
- Reading Comprehension- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
- Oral Comprehension- The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
- Basic Computer Skills- Using basic computer hardware and software (e.g. personal computers, word processing software, internet browsers, etc.)
- Customer and Personal Service- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Number facility- The ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly
- Creativity- The ability to come up with creative ways to solve a problem
- Adaptability- Ability to effectively adjust to major changes in work tasks or the work environment
