Job Summary
Coordinate daily business logistics and administrative functions for the Sales Team to ensure successful event execution. Process group needs, secure information for Banquet Event Orders, and manage room reservations and lists. Assist with event setup, attend weekly Food and Beverage meetings, and represent The Lake Estate at trade shows and networking opportunities. Utilize direct communication channels to relay critical information to team members and clients while maintaining consistent guest service standards. Work a flexible, year-round schedule including weekends and evenings based on confirmed event appointments.
Required Qualifications
- High school education
- Schooling in hospitality management, business, or related experience
- Two or more years of related experience
- Familiarity with hospitality industry practices
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent Communication skills – both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Thorough understanding of the sales process
- Ability to work well as a team and individually to meet the goals of the department
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Enthusiasm and passion for the hospitality and event industry
- Professional conduct
- Highly developed customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail (repeated emphasis)
- Positive interactions and effective communication with the public, event and transient guests
- Experience in the hospitality industry
- Knowledgeable about the operations of a hotel
- Extended periods of standing and/or walking
- Bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Close vision with or without corrective lenses
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
