Job Summary
Event Manager needed to plan and execute Scholars of Finance’s 8-10 regional Leadership Symposia across the United States and an annual virtual career fair with 20+ partners and thousands of students. Responsibilities include overseeing event strategy, logistics, volunteer leadership, speaker and partner coordination, budgeting, sponsorship, on-site execution, and post-event analysis. The role requires building run-of-show plans, coordinating cross-functionally (including Marketing and donors), managing vendor and venue relationships, and delivering mission-driven experiences. Requires 3-5+ years of event planning experience, a Bachelor's degree, strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with Google Suite, and travel up to 10-15% plus occasional nights/weekends for events. The position emphasizes collaboration with student leaders, external partners, and executives to scale impact and ensure high-quality events across the finance-focused college community.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of corporate and/or Non-profit event planning experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Full ownership and management of events of various sizes and complexities, from conception to execution
- Demonstrated expertise in event logistics—venue selection, vendor and speaker coordination, budgeting, and sponsorship
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in event and project management tools and Google Suite
- Flexibility to travel up to 10-15% of the time for events across the United States
- Ability to thrive in a remote work environment for a significant period of time
- Willingness to contribute beyond the job description and drive impact
