Job Summary
Responsible for preparing event documentation and coordinating with Sales, property departments and customers to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases of property events. Manages events of average complexity, ensures seamless turnover from sales to service and back to sales, and identifies opportunities to maximize revenue through up-selling and enhancements. Acts as liaison between field sales and customers, participates in site inspections, and supports the sales process as necessary. Leads event management activities, coordinates with multiple departments to deliver exceptional customer service, communicates event details clearly, and oversees post-event follow-up and continuous improvement. This role emphasizes managing logistics, client relations, budgeting and billing accuracy, group room blocks, and ensuring guest satisfaction, within the Marriott Sheraton hospitality environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; 1–2 years of experience in event management or a related professional area
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; at least 1 year experience in event management or related professional area
