Job Summary
On-site Part-time Event Manager for Candlelight Concerts in Boston. Serve as the main onsite contact, manage staff rosters and scheduling, train staff for ticket validation and guest seating, assist with venue setup including candles, and coordinate event logistics with the Fever Originals team and staffing agencies. Responsible for inventory, printing needs, guest lists, and delivering opening remarks (with occasional public speaking). Drive a uHaul for event supplies if needed, and provide weekly status reports to Project Managers. May assist with venue walkthroughs and has opportunities to expand to other Candlelight events. Represent Fever and Candlelight brands with professional communication and customer service at every event. Required skills: 1+ year in event management or related degree (preferred), passion for live music and events, exceptional customer service, on-site team leadership, problem-solving, ability to work under pressure, AV/PA knowledge (desirable), laptop use, and driver’s license (preferred).
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in event management and/or a relevant degree (preferred)
- Interest and passion for live music and organizing events
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Experience leading an on-site team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good ability to work in a pressured environment
- Knowledge of AV and PA systems (desirable)
- The use of personal laptop will be required
- Driver’s license strongly preferred
