Event Housekeeping Supervisor - Comerica Park

Job Summary
Oversee the cleanliness and presentation of Comerica Park during MLB games, concerts, and special events by leading a team of housekeeping staff. Manage pre-event setup of seating areas, restrooms, and concourses while monitoring maintenance throughout events to address spills and waste promptly. Supervise team performance, conduct regular inspections, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety protocols. Coordinate with facilities, security, and event operations departments to support seamless execution. Assist in creating staff schedules for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and document maintenance issues for the facilities team. Maintain adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of housekeeping or janitorial experience
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
- Experience in a stadium, arena, or large event venue
- Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods
- Ability to navigate stairs and uneven surfaces throughout the ballpark
- Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during the MLB season and special events
- Keen eye for cleanliness and presentation
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety protocols
- Must be customer service oriented
- Must maintain a neat and clean appearance at all times
- Must have a keen awareness of working environment
- Must enjoy helping others and working within a team environment
- Ability to perform multiple tasks at one time
- Ability to meet tight deadline
- Ability to function under stress
