Job Summary
Lead volunteers through meal packing procedures, adjust assignments, and track registrations while driving a box truck to transport materials and set up equipment at mobile locations. Coordinate warehouse logistics by receiving shipments, processing documentation, palletizing finished products, and safely loading/unloading supplies using pallet jacks and forklifts. Develop partnerships with faith-based groups, businesses, and schools to promote events and drive volunteer participation. Facilitate four to 12 events monthly, manage donations, and ensure adequate stock and equipment availability. Work 20 hours weekly including nights and weekends, earning $22/hour with full medical insurance coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Age 21 years or older
- Proficiency in Google/Microsoft office suite as well as other cloud-based software
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record with a willingness to drive a box truck to transport materials to and from events
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting or operating pallet jacks including frequently lifting up to 50lbs
- Must be able to comply with DOT regulations and maintain DOT certification (DOT does not allow any history of marijuana use even for medicinal purposes)
- Flexibility to work weekends as well as some evenings and early mornings
- Resourcefulness to work in different spaces and environments
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally roll or move up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to move pallets of up to 2,500 pounds utilizing pallet jacks and lifts
- Must have good hand/finger dexterity
- Close vision
- Night vision
- The ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with non-profit work is helpful but not required
