Job Summary
Conduct event changeovers by setting up and tearing down flooring, chairs, barricades, staging, and furnishings while assisting with pre/post-event cleaning. Maintain outside grounds, including parking areas and snow removal, and perform repairs such as painting and patching. Operate equipment like pallet jacks, forklifts, and scissor lifts as needed. Work extended and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, while responding to promoters' and clients' needs. Maintain effective relationships with other departments and patrons under pressure. Requires high school diploma, one to two years of event changeover experience, and equipment certifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 1 to 2 years of event changeover experience
- Ability to work under deadlines driven by event schedules and project timetables
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form
- Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Training and certification required for pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, or other light power equipment
