Job Summary
The Event Crew member will efficiently set up and maintain the necessary equipment and furniture for conferences at the Statehouse and conference center. This role involves handling sound, audio, and visual equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring event spaces are clean and presentable. The position may require working weekends on an as-needed basis.
Required Qualifications
- Practical knowledge of audio, video and sound equipment
- Ability to complete manual tasks including standing, walking, lifting, bending, twisting, and stooping
- Must be able to follow specific instructions and work independently
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment failures
- Assist Supervisor in maintaining inventory of supplies
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Knowledge of sound, audio, and visual equipment
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work weekends with minimal notice
- Position does not directly supervise State employees but supervises Project Search interns
