Event Coordinator (Term)

Job Summary
The Event Coordinator will manage the full cycle of non-catering events across APC venues, including booking, planning, scheduling, contracting, execution, and post-event evaluation, using APC’s Event Pro system. This role engages with clients to plan events that meet their needs and achieve departmental sales goals, and supports both community initiatives and revenue-generating opportunities. Responsibilities include coordinating event setup and teardown, logistics, vendor coordination, documentation, post-event analysis, client follow-up, and ensuring accurate pricing and information. Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. A thorough knowledge of APC’s venues and facilities is essential. The position also involves collaboration with the Community & Special Events team and adherence to event operations processes, with an emphasis on delivering excellent guest experiences.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma and/or GED equivalent
- A post-secondary diploma and/or certificate in Hospitality & Event Management, Project Management, Tourism Certified Professional, or related field would be an asset
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in event planning, coordination and/or event management
- Excellent proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office software
- Ability to gain proficiency in the use and operation of audio-visual equipment
- Must possess a valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License
- An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered
