Job Summary
Event Cook responsible for executing LP events including banquet-style service, working independently from the main kitchen to execute pre-planned timelines, setting up the kitchen daily, maintaining sanitation, preparing foods, tasting and adjusting dishes, and ensuring quality for event service. Requires knowledge to execute banquet events, farm-to-fork background, knife ownership and maintenance, strong organization and communication, ability to work in a high-stress environment, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work 8–10 hours with evenings, weekends, and holidays. Reports to the Event Sous Chef and collaborates with the Event Manager and kitchen staff to deliver a high-quality event experience.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a kitchen environment
- Farm-to-fork background
- Own and maintain appropriate knives for the job
- Organized with an attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work in a high-stress environment
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, squat, reach, and walk 8 to 10 hours a day
- Able to grasp, lift, carry 50 lbs. in short intervals throughout the day
- Willing and able to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
