Job Summary
Weekend contract for live sports production event contractors to support a basketball tournament in Phoenix. Responsibilities include setting up camera gear, power supply, and wifi at each court, monitoring streams, moving cameras between courts, and breaking down gear. Schedule includes Jan 4-5 with shifts starting around 6-7am and running through the day, with long hours (up to 10pm on Sat and 7pm on Sun). Independent contractor role with training provided. Pay ranges from $16-$18/hour, paid the following Friday via PayPal. Local applicants only; may travel up to 40 miles. Must have a car and be able to transport gear. Some setup days may occur; flexibility to work weekends noted.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must complete a pre-event background check
- Must be familiar with iOS devices and products
- Must be personable and professional at all times
- Must have the ability to multitask with a strong attention to detail
- Must possess a positive winning attitude
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in live event production or customer-facing position is a plus
- Knowledge, interest, and experience within grassroots sports (soccer, lacrosse, basketball, volleyball, football and/or wrestling) is a plus
- Having a current and valid Driver's license to receive and transport event equipment
- Willingness to travel up to 40 miles one way
