Job Summary
Assemble and operate sound, video, lighting, staging, crowd control barriers, and seating while maintaining safety and efficiency. Move equipment following standard procedures, complete general documentation and forms, and provide accurate reports. Assist in future planning by documenting activities and reviewing records from past events. Fill shifts and special event requirements as assigned. Perform other duties as needed, including working variable schedules involving evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. This temporary, part-time role supports campus events at Tarleton State University, offering up to 19 hours per week with a base pay of $20.00 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4 years related experience
- Ability to stand and squat on catwalks and beams 50 feet above floor level
- Ability to lift, carry and/or otherwise move 50 lbs
- Ability to work off of ladders
- Ability to work in dusty environments
- Ability to work variable schedules including evening, nights, weekends and holidays to meet production deadlines
- Ability to maintain the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment system or water treatment system
- Evening and weekend availability
Desired Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Experience with rigging
- Experience with audio-visual systems
- Experience with event staff coordination
- Knowledge of event-related equipment and applications
- Ability to read and interpret event layouts and drawings
- Experience operating and maintaining multi-channel audio systems, lighting systems and/or video equipment
- Experience performing up and down rigging
- Experience scheduling, coordinating, and supervising staff
