Job Summary
Anticipate guest needs, direct event staff, and oversee operations while actively taking orders and managing full food and beverage service. Present menus, answer questions, and accurately enter orders into the POS system, ensuring all dietary restrictions are noted and specials are communicated. Maintain venue cleanliness, set tables, stock stations, and complete opening and closing procedures including reporting equipment damage. Serves beverages in accordance with state regulations and alcohol awareness standards, while adhering to Department of Health and company sanitation protocols. Accurately completes end-of-shift financial procedures and communicates guest needs to support staff, managers, and chefs. Attends daily pre-service meetings and training sessions, working extended hours, irregular shifts, and holidays as required in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years server experience or equivalent related Tao Group Hospitality experience
- Minimum 2 years of food and beverage experience
- Previous banquet or event experience in a high-volume, fine dining or upscale hospitality environment
- Experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge
- Comprehensive knowledge of classic cocktails
- Basic familiarity with wine varietals and classic regions around the world
- Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate
- Must have good positive energy throughout the day
- Must be able to print legibly for Team Members, management, and guests to read
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to move quickly
- Must be able to push and lift up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance
- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
- Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
- May work extended hours irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts, and holiday work may be required
