Event Build/Strike Assistant

Job Summary
Assist with event setup and teardown by moving, assembling, and positioning tables, chairs, tents, signage, and equipment. Load and unload materials from vehicles, support technical setup for lighting and audio under direction, and maintain cleanliness of event spaces. Actively participate in equipment movement, use small and power tools including golf carts, and troubleshoot problems as they arise. Provide on-site support during events for logistics, deliveries, or emergency adjustments, and report damages or safety issues promptly. Follow safety procedures, sort inventory, and maintain positive relationships with managers, co-workers, clients, and others. This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, working on feet for long periods, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Comfortable working on feet for long periods and performing repetitive physical tasks
- Capability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Attention to detail, ensuring that locations are in proper condition and ready for events
- Ability to interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Must prioritize safety in all tasks
- Valid driver's license (if role includes driving event vehicles)
Desired Qualifications
- Event & Hospitality experience
- Basic technical experience which includes setup of microphones, event lighting and sound equipment
- Ability to remain stable under pressure and handle stressful situations effectively
