Job Summary
Conduct checkout-free parking operations by receiving payments, issuing receipts, and controlling traffic flow at gate entrances and exits. Direct customers to available spaces, patrol reserved and transient parking levels, and assist visitors who have forgotten their vehicle locations. Manage cash transactions, count bank funds at shift start, and verify shift totals against money on hand. Issue violation warnings for policy breaches and report accidents, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility or Senior Manager. Maintain a neat uniform and work outside in all weather conditions while ensuring courteous customer interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or week-ends
- Valid state-issued driver's license, with a current address and acceptable driving record
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company
- Ability to add, subtract, two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to use hands to handle cash and equipment
- Ability to sit
- Ability to climb or balance
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
