Job Summary

Gather and organize rigging tools and equipment, then provide ground rigging support by staging motors, handing up chains, and spotting lift movements. Establish hang-points, connect hoists and attachments to permanent rigging points, run cable picks, and conduct final safety checks on all cabling tie-offs. Verify elements are securely fastened, inspect hardware including truss, motors, lighting, sound, and personnel lifts, and escalate any hardware problems to supervisors. Work in a hotel/convention center environment with moderate outdoor exposure, heights via lifts, and irregular hours including on-call status for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of exposure to rigging and technical production
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of Rigging 300 (1-day in person class)
