Job Summary
Prospect and qualify leads across corporate, social, hotel, and agency segments; conduct site visits and tastings to build proposals and menus tailored to occasion, budget, and brand standards. Negotiate and close deals while managing holds, options, and room blocks to secure deposits and signed contracts. Translate client vision into detailed BEOs covering menus, staffing, floor plans, AV, and décor, then lead internal hand-offs and pre-con meetings. Be on-site for key programs as needed to support real-time adjustments, conduct post-event recaps, and capture feedback for future bookings. Grow repeat and referral business with strategic touches while partnering with Culinary, Beverage, and Operations to execute flawlessly. Optimize mix and margins via pricing, minimums, upsells, and room usage, tracking KPIs and sharing weekly dashboards.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of event/private dining sales in upscale restaurant, luxury hotel, or catering environment
- Proven track record meeting/exceeding revenue targets with strong close rates
- Expert communicator and negotiator; polished client presence and writing skills
- Proficiency with CRM and event tools (e.g., TripleSeat/SevenRooms/Delphi), diagrams (Social Tables), and POS basics
- Strong project management and attention to detail; calm under pressure and deadline-driven
- Schedule flexibility (nights/weekends/holidays) based on event needs
- Frequent walk-throughs of event spaces and dining rooms
- Stand/walk for extended periods during events; occasional lifting of materials up to ~25–35 lbs
- Ability to spend time in a fast-paced, professional kitchen atmosphere with exposure to heat
