Job Summary
Plan and manage end-to-end events at the University of Auckland, including public lectures, seminars, webinars, staff and student celebrations, and stakeholder dinners. Coordinate concepts, timelines, budgets, and logistics, and provide expert advice to academic leadership, staff, and students to deliver polished, safe, and well-executed events in a dynamic, university environment. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, budgeting and financial tracking, and comfort working across in-person and virtual formats; familiarity with health and safety requirements and tikanga/kawa in event contexts is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in the end-to-end coordination of diverse events
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience delivering both in-person and virtual events
- Ability to manage budgets and financial tracking
- Stakeholder engagement and relationship-building
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices in risk assessment
