Job Summary
Part-time Event and Audiovisual IT Support Technician at CEU for Budapest (20 hrs/week) with occasional Vienna support. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining IT assets, serving as the primary liaison between users and IT support, using the Helpdesk ticketing system, providing online/phone/in-person user support, developing user documentation and tutorials, and delivering IT and AV support for internal and rental events (including videoconferencing, streaming, recording, and audio during campus events). Qualifications include a secondary school diploma or BA degree (IT-related degree preferred), strong English communication, proficiency with Windows applications, basic networking, familiarity with videoconferencing/streaming/recording technologies, and prior IT support experience; experience in an educational environment is advantageous. The role emphasizes training and consultancy opportunities and involves collaboration with campus technology teams and event support staff.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary school diploma or BA degree
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English; capable of acting as a liaison between users and IT support; providing clear instructions to support users
- Experience with Helpdesk ticketing systems and data recording
- Familiarity with Windows-based applications
- Basic network knowledge
- Knowledge of videoconferencing, streaming and recording technologies, as well as audio system operations
- Ability to organize workload and adapt to shifting priorities
- Prior IT support experience; experience in an educational environment is an advantage
