Event and Alcohol Compliance Specialist

Job Summary
Monitor licensed areas to ensure compliance with liquor regulations and event policies while verifying age identification and wrist banding procedures. Observe guests for signs of intoxication or unsafe behavior, assist with the refusal of service to intoxicated patrons when required, and prevent unauthorized alcohol from entering or leaving designated spaces. Conduct regular patrols throughout licensed areas, maintain detailed incident reports and compliance documentation, and respond to policy violations or safety concerns. Communicate effectively with event management, beverage service teams, and security personnel while enforcing policies in a professional manner. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, heat, wind, and direct sunlight, standing and walking for extended periods up to 12 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Must possess a valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Minimum 6 months of customer service, events, hospitality, security, or related experience
- Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification (Standard Level C preferred)
- Experience working events, checking for intoxication
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Strong observation and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and event days
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices is considered an asset
