Evenings/Nights Housekeeper

Job Summary
Conduct advanced cleaning and sanitation tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and disinfecting to maintain a clean, safe environment across the 400-acre campus. Operate specialized floor machines and equipment safely while providing laundry services for dormitories and commercial facilities. Monitor cleaning supplies, maintain accurate logs, and report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly. Respond to guest and student requests, mentor less-experienced staff, and collaborate with department leadership to ensure compliance with OSHA and quality standards. Work flexible schedules including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull equipment, supplies, or materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, stretch, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions
- Ability to work on multiple surfaces, including stairs, hard floors, turf, grass, courts, and walkways
- Manual dexterity required to safely operate housekeeping, custodial, and laundry equipment
- Ability to use standard office and mobile technology for reporting and documentation
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including day, evening, overnight, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Requires a background check upon offer
- Requires a pre-employment drug screen upon offer
- This position requires a Florida Level 2 Background Screening
Desired Qualifications
- additional training or certifications in housekeeping, custodial services, laundry operations, or facilities management is a plus
- Working knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, chemicals, and best practices
- experience in institutional, campus, hotel, or healthcare environments
