Evening & Weekends Swim Lesson Instructor

Instruct swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines using prepared lesson plans while building authentic relationships with students and parents. Convey information on aquatics programs and schedules, refer students to other offerings, and maintain records including attendance and progress reports. Organize and put away class equipment, report damaged items, and train or supervise assigned class aides. Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled while following all policies, rules, regulations, and emergency safety procedures, including completing incident and accident reports as necessary. Demonstrate swim instructor skills and observe proper stroke techniques while hearing distress signals in the aquatic environment.
