Job Summary
Set up workstations with ingredients and equipment, prepare and portion food items for various meal periods, and ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before service. Chop and peel vegetables, cut meat, and follow basic recipes and production information while maintaining a sanitized kitchen environment. Store all food and items properly and adhere to HACCP and safety policies. Requires proven experience with commercial cooking techniques, familiarity with kitchen equipment, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Continuous standing and walking up to 8 hours daily.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as cook
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Very good communication skills
- Continuous standing/walking and other means of mobility up to 8 hours a day
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push/pull and frequently lift/move up to 30 pounds
