Job Summary
Supervise day-to-day nursing activities for the 3-11 evening shift in accordance with federal, state, and local standards to ensure quality care. Direct nursing staff and instruct others while maintaining compliance with guidelines as required by the Director of Nursing. Maintain current CPR certification and possess knowledge of long-term care laws and medical practices. Complete the AHCA Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse requirement. This role supports Avante's mission to provide high-quality care to residents in a collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and meet all applicable federal and state licensure requirements
- 18 years of age
- Completion of secondary education or otherwise show ability to read and write in a legible and understandable manner
- Speak and understand English
- Supervise and instruct others
- Previous supervisory experience or completion of appropriate supervisory training program, or as required by state law
- Maintain current CPR certification
- Positive attitude toward the elderly
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care
