Job Summary
Coordinate residents' care in accordance with Virginia Department of Social Services Standards and recognized nursing practices. Implement and audit quality improvement measures while mentoring and coaching nurses and CNAs across Woodland Park and Transitional Care. Complete performance reviews for supervised staff and lead activities of others within the Nursing Leadership team. This role requires a current Virginia nursing license, supervisory experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Full-time evening shift coverage from 2 PM to 10 PM includes on-call rotation for weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- current license to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Past demonstrated supervisory, coaching, and support skills with personal care staff
- Previous experience in long-term care/SNF
- ability to communicate effectively while maintaining a professional working relationship with the Director of Nursing, nursing leadership team, physicians, employees, families, and community partners
- knowledgeable and passionate about geriatric care, transitional, and long-term care
- ability to supervise, coordinate, and effectively lead the activities of others
- ability to communicate orally, in writing, and through presentation effectively
- ability to work collaboratively throughout the entire organization to effectively engage staff, residents, family members, and other stakeholders
- computer experience with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- command of the English language, both written and spoken
- self-motivated
- organized
- willing to be flexible to accommodate changing priorities
- Proven ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment with minimal supervision
